ChatGPT can now Vocalize Responses

OpenAI's latest and most famous project ChatGPT, has released a new feature 'Read Aloud', proves to be beneficial for users on the go. Providing the convenience of listening to responses in one of five voice options. This feature is now accessible not only on the web version of ChatGPT but also on the iOS and Android apps.

Read Aloud showcases multilingual capabilities, supporting 37 languages and automatically identifying the language of the text it reads. Compatible with both GPT-4 and GPT-3.5, it exemplifies OpenAI's prowess in multimodal capabilities, allowing interactions through various mediums.

While ChatGPT introduced a voice chat feature in September 2023, enabling users to ask prompts directly, the Read Aloud feature takes it a step further by allowing ChatGPT to vocalize written responses. Users can configure the chatbot to consistently respond verbally when answering prompts.

For mobile users, accessing the Read Aloud player involves tapping and holding the text, providing control over playback with options to play, pause, or rewind. On the web version, a speaker icon beneath the text signifies the presence of the Read Aloud feature.
